i too was amazed and upset that david easton did not get 60% of the votes as he comes over as a very decent man...i can only think that there have been major issues which have not been touched upon in the programmes .If not then a perverse decision.

I was also very surprised about David Easton. To not gain 60% of the votes seems very bizarre to me.

I have just watched the latest programme and the poignant story of how David Easton has not been asked to remein as the Methodist Minister on Scilly. How desperately sad it was. I can't understand why this has happened. It almost felt like a betrayal. I hope he finds a new community that appreciates him.

It is a pity, that for whatever reason, Father Guy did not wish to appear in the current series. Following Nigel Farrell's inaccurate, insensitive and extremely inappropriate comments in his book about some of the islanders. I find it difficult to understand, despite Mr.Farrell's subsequent apologies, how any of them agreed to appear in the latest series.

As a compulsive watcher of this series, and just having seen to-days programme 10th October 2008 that was mostly concerned with the Methodist Minister.

Being a practising Anglican, what on earth has happened to Father Guy?

Regards
